I’m broke broke right now lol, but I don’t want to just sit at home all day.
What are some genuinely free (or extremely cheap) places/things to do in NYC where I can hang out for a while and maybe meet people?
I’m open to parks, libraries, public spaces, free events, community stuff, meetups, museums on free days, anything really. Ideally somewhere it’s normal to go alone and there’s at least a chance of talking to people/making friends.
And when I say cheap, I mean actually cheap 😭 not “only $25.” What are your go-to broke-in-NYC spots?
