Downtown 4/5 train today around 7pm, at Fulton Station.
Did anybody else witness people gagging and running off the train?
I was about to get on the train when everyone started running out, covering their mouths, eyes watering, and gagging like they were about to vomit.
A few people yelled “do NOT go in there”. When I asked why, they all said “you do not want to know”. Some people were still panicking and gagging for minutes after.
For a split second while the train door was open, I smelled something horrible and insanely strong, from about 10ft away. I couldn’t identify the smell- similar to vomit maybe, but WAY stronger. Like, to the point where I believe it would be impossible for vomit to smell that strong from that far away.
The people who ran out of the train looked traumatized. Anybody know what happened?
