A little frustrated right now – I got yelled at by a film crew for ruining their shot when I walked down my stoop this morning on the way to work. And then I wasn’t allowed to walk back on the block this evening when I came back from work, and was asked by a set manager to show my ID to prove I lived on the block. It isn’t the first time, and I just wish I knew ahead of time when these things were going to happen. Were notices supposed to go out, and I just didn’t receive one? Or are they allowed to do this without informing anybody besides the city?
Edit: Yes I know I’m not in the wrong for being frustrated about the situation, and I appreciate the solidarity. I guess my question is more if I should be complaining to my landlord for not giving us any heads up, or if it was the production crew that didn’t follow the correct procedures here.
Edit 2: It was a professional film set, with posted signage around the neighborhood for the parking regulations. They arrived with trucks, lighting, AV, catering, etc. It was not just some random youtubers getting content on my stoop or something.
