What cuisine is unavailable or generally difficult to find in NYC?

Like I think Malagasy food comes to mind, with there being not a single restaurant specializing in food from Madagascar. There might be side dishes at French places but I don’t think that should count. Wondering what else is out there

Honorable mention: German Butterbrezels. The German restaurants here only have the giant ones to be dipped in mustard, not the hand-sized pretzels that are like sandwiches with butter and other stuff between them.
