This morning, I was assaulted by a man at the Lexington Avenue/59th Street subway station while walking downstairs to catch the 4/5 train.
He initially pushed me as I was going down the stairs. I pushed back slightly and asked him why he was pushing me. He responded that I was in his way and then slapped me in the head. I followed him to confront him and call the police, but he continued pushing me, knocking me to the ground multiple times. I eventually called 911, filed a police report, and the police are now reviewing the station’s security footage.
I would really appreciate it if anyone who was at the station or on the train around that time witnessed what happened or happened to capture a photo or video of this individual. Please send it my way so I can share it with the police and help make others aware of what happened.
