No, it’s not full of life and yes it still has some sterility, tourists, and new modern skyscrapers all over the place, but I really enjoy going there from time to time. The mall has been built out and it’s still adding new shops — lots of new restaurants are popping up, it’s quiet, safe, fairly clean.
The highline is really nice too and a great way to escape the streets (caveat being tourists on weekends but on the weekdays, it’s great). Being close to Chelsea is a nice plus
Can anyone who lives there speak to it?
