Anyone else annoyed seeing/hearing so many non-NYC people weigh in on NYC mayoral race? (This is not about the politics)

I hear directly from and see family post on social media about the NYC mayoral race (from both sides), and I find myself growing annoyed by them. In fact it’s the ones aligned with me politically that I’m sometimes most annoyed by; I’m glad you agree but you don’t speak for us (stop saying “we”). You don’t live or work here and aren’t planning to move here. You’re not impacted by this. Keep it to yourself. Stop trying to influence something you have no part of. I don’t have an opinion on your local election. I feel like you’re doing it on social media for clicks.

I guess i should be more welcoming of the open discussion.
