What reasonably well-known (among NYers) NYC chains/establishments/trends/memes/etc. do tourists and transplants often mistake for hip “underground” NYC culture?

Examples:

My ex who was initially wary of the city falling in love with it but thinking Two Boots was some obscure, little-known NYC indie pizza joint.

A tourist spotting their first 7 Souls Deep art and thinking they came across some oft-overlooked poetry.

Visitors thinking Union Square (while fantastic!) is officially THE hippest spot in town.

Etc…
