What we ate on a 4.5 day trip to NYC!

Angelo’s Pizza-7.5/10, we really enjoyed it. This was the personal pan size and was plenty.

2 & 3. Broad Nosh Bagels-8.5/10-delicious. Really good, good prices, fast service.

4 & 5. The Refinery Rooftop: 6/10. Nice ambiance in the restaurant but that was the highlight. The food was nothing special and was overpriced. My grilled cheese and tomato soup was $27. The shrimp tacos appetizer was good.

6, 7, 8, 9: Parkside Italian Restaurant in Queens: 4/10. We went on NYE and made reservations under the impression it was their usual menu and they didn’t inform us it was limited menu, $125 a person. The food was very bland for any amount of money but especially $125. The filet mignon was so flavorless and I love chocolate anything but didn’t enjoy the dessert. Service wasn’t great for $125 meal. Decent ambiance and live piano playing.

10: The Bagel Spot in Queens: 7.5, good, good prices

11: Nathan’s Hotdog Stand: 5/10, just a regular hotdog and cheese fries, nothing special. I think they overcharged us, 20 bucks for this.

12: Spicy C’s Chinese Cuisine in Queens: 9/10, delicious, best dinner we had here. A little more expensive than I’m used to for Chinese but big portions.

13: Forest Hills Bagel in Queens: 7.5/10, pretty good, I thought their blueberry bagel was really good but their BEC was just average.

We also stopped at a random diner in Times Square and both got BLTs (didn’t take pics) and it was 5/10, overpriced for what it was and the BLTs were good, it’s hard to mess up a BLT but the restaurant was not clean and I’m pretty sure our server was high.

Overall, we ate well on this trip! This was a last minute trip and we didn’t have time to research restaurants so no shade please on our choices.
