Finally got around to getting the burger, which was phenomenal. While I was waiting for it, I saw a waiter go by with a Coke, in a nice big old school curvy Coke glass. It looked properly frosty and bubbly. I ordered one. I almost never drink soda but this Coke beckoned me.
It was so damn good. Perfectly balanced syrup/bubbles. Just the right amount of ice. It didn’t hurt that it was warm out and we were eating outside on a beautiful day, and that I was washing down a fantastic burger with it.
I gave the glass to my wife for a taste. I said “Get ready. This is a professional Coke.” She laughed but agreed upon a sip.
Looking around at the other diners, I saw Cokes on a bunch of other tables. Maybe the Pastis Coke is a thing?
It seems dumb to review a Coke, but there it is.
