coqodaq restaurant week menu BLEW MY MIND! so grateful to have finally tried this place out :)

i went to coqodaq 8/6 for their restaurant week menu as a gift for my mom’s birthday and it was phenomenal! i have never gone to as fancy of restaurant like this, and neither has my mom for her 45 years of life but we were blown away with how hospitable the staff were. moreover, how their hospitality did not sacrifice the quality of food.

i am no food critique, but for my first time trying caviar, especially on a nugget, not bad! although kind of gimmicky LOL! the fried chicken was delicious, especially paired with the array of sauces they give you. i loved the white and green one (forgot the names). i enjoyed the teokbokki, although it was a little too spicy for me, the chewiness was a nice texture. the mac was yummy as well! however, i LOVED the banchan, ESPECIALLY THE SCALLION SALAD!!! i normally hate onions, but this scallion salad did not have an onion-y taste at all. it was light and refreshing which helped cleanse my palate after eating all of that fried chicken. i would love the recipe if anyone happens to know how to make it hehehe… it was so good

now what really touched my heart was the amazing service, which really surprised my mom. we kept giggling at how quick the waiters were at refilling our cups because we never had to pick up the pitcher ourselves with how fast they were! they were also so lovely at explaining the menu. i left to go to the restroom and put my napkin aside, then when i came back, they had neatly folded it! my mom and i were dying at this!

since it was my mom’s birthday, they gave us free splashes of champagne which was unexpected but a lovely touch to our experience which was already through the roof! my mom told me this was the best dining experience of her life, as for me too! for a family like mine who normally eats at chain restaurants, this was such a treat 🥹
