ive been a fan of italian influencer/comedian cugine for years but didnt feel compelled to go to his recently opened sandwich spot in williamsburg as i thought it might be gimmicky and theres not exactly an absence of good sandwiches in the area. finally gave it a try today and admitting i was completely wrong, these were bomb. aside from being delicious, these pictures dont do the size or weight of these things justice, they are heavy and can honestly be split across 3 meals.
the 2 sandwiches i got:
Brahzoot of Happiness ($17): Prosciutto, Mozarella, Olive Oil, Vinegar Peppers
Ya Sista ($16): Roast Beef, Caciocavallo Cheese, Horseradish Cream + Side of Dipping Gravy
the prosciutto one was good and not sure id ever had vinegar peppers before so that was a really nice touch; i do wish it wasnt served toasted as i like my prosciutto cold. however the real star of the show was the roast beef which dare i say, might be a top 5 roast beef sandwich ive had in the city it was really that delicious.
from a quality and price perspective, i genuinely might be patronizing this place more often than their next door neighbor anthony and sons who admittedly have this place beat from a pure size/diversity of menu perspective.
