So I’ve been looking at apartments and keep seeing these full floor places that come with keyed elevator access. I know it sounds a little pretentious but some of them are actually in my budget range somehow.
I’m used to regular apartment building layouts where you walk down a hallway and unlock your door like a normal person. These full floor setups seem totally different – the elevator opens directly into your place which feels weird to me. Anyone actually live in one of these? What’s the day to day experience like compared to a regular apartment. Do delivery people get confused, is it awkward when you have guests over, does the elevator thing actually matter or am I overthinking this.
Also curious about the practical stuff – are the layouts usually weird since they take up the whole floor, do you end up with random unusable spaces or rooms you never go in. Trying to figure out if this is worth considering or if I should stick to what I know works
