Police detained one person outside the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse on Dec. 9 following Daniel Penny’s not-guilty verdict. A Manhattan jury acquitted Daniel Penny of criminally negligent homicide in the death of Jordan Neely after Penny placed the homeless man in a chokehold on the subway in May 2023.
