1324 House Opens Applications for Founding Summer Artist Residency in Brooklyn
1324 House is accepting applications for its founding summer cohort, an intimate artist residency inside a Brooklyn living art house. The summer residency runs June 15 through August 31, 2026, with priority placement closing June 4, 2026. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the cohort is full.
Designed for multidisciplinary artists, the residency invites participants to live, work, and create in proximity within a shared domestic and cultural environment. Residents receive a furnished private room, shared studio space, utilities and Wi-Fi, monthly community dinners, and light programming. Shorter stays may be considered case by case depending on fit, timing, and room availability.
The founding cohort model positions this residency as something more than a room exchange. 1324 House is shaped by atmosphere, attention, care, and creative proximity, and residents participate in establishing the rhythms and culture of the house from the ground up. The residency is best suited for artists, designers, writers, performers, image-makers, and multidisciplinary creatives actively building work and seeking an intentional creative environment in Brooklyn.
The founding core resident rate is $1,650 per month, with a deposit required upon acceptance.
