Viridian Artists unveils The Shape of Now, a group exhibition featuring new work by nine gallery artists: Hiromi Aoki, Zoe Brown-Weissmann, Ellen Burnett, David Fitzgerald, Sue Fontaine, Denise Fulton, Kazuo Ishikawa, Kathleen King, and Marco Lando. Together, the artists explore how form, gesture, and material speak to the shifting conditions of contemporary experience.
The exhibition spans painting, sculpture, drawing, and mixed media, weaving a conversation around perception and the architecture of the present moment. While each artist brings a distinct visual language, the works echo one another in their sensitivity to how meaning is constructed and reconstructed — moment to moment, mark by mark.
Presented in the gallery’s Chelsea home, The Shape of Now highlights the breadth of Viridian’s member artists and the resonant ways their practices intersect.
